Trip Overview

Annapurna Circuit Trek has gradually become one of the most loved trekking trails of the world after it was opened for trekkers in 1980. The magical trails of the 21 days’ trek around the Annapurna massif takes you through the world’s deepest gorge to one of the most challenging passes. You will trek through the Kali Gandaki Gorge (2,520 m/8,270 ft) all the way across the Thorong La Pass (5,416m/17,769ft).

 

Apart from the opportunity to trek around the world’s 10th tallest peak, Annapurna Circuit Trek offers you ample diversity. You start from an altitude of 800 meters to trek as high as around 5,500 m. In doing so, you will be welcomed by diverse flora, fauna, rivers, waterfalls, cultures, traditions and lifestyles. What remain constant throughout the trek are the welcoming villagers and the majestic mountain peaks.

 

The mountain peaks in the Annapurna Massif include Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Annapurna I,II and II, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche Peak and the likes. The Annapurna Circuit Trek gives you the chance to enjoy views of those mountains from different angles and elevations. You will fall in love with the Annapurna region, regarded by many in the world to be the best trekking trail. To make your trek experience even better, we take you through the trails less travelled.

The months between March to May (spring) and September to December (autumn) are the best months to trek the Annapurna region. The days will be warm and nights will be generally cold with cool breezes. Those of you who are willing to fight the cold can also do the Annapurna Circuit Trek in the months of January and February. Sample day on “Annapurna Circuit Trek”

Annapurna Circuit Trek is managed by a team of professionally trained leaders and guides responsible for all aspects of the running of the trek. Our special departure trek is well versed in the culture and natural history of the Himalayas. Your days start with a cup of hot tea served to you in your room. One of our trekking staff will make sure that you have a bowl of warm water for you so that you can wash yourself. After you pack your baggage, you will be served your breakfast after which we are ready to roll for the day.

The freshness of the cool air and the beauty of the mountains painted by the morning sun will accompany the early mornings’ hikes. Your day’s trek involves navigating numerous picturesque forests, hills, mountains and the local villages for the next three hours. Around mid-day, we find a pleasant spot for lunch and we will take an hour time for our lunch. During our lunch, we can take our boots off and expose our feet to fresh air. After lunch, you will walk for some three or four more hours before calling it a day. You can take your time to change, freshen up after which we can set off to explore the area. Every day, you have plenty of time for photographs.

You can spend the evenings as per your wish, be it reading books in peace, chatting with fellow trekkers, or trekking staff. Normally our trekking crew takes packs of cards with them and if you join them for a game of cards, you will get a chance to learn a few Nepalese card games. The porters and Sherpas have fun singing and dancing and you can always join them. You will have a lot of fun before you finally decide to pass out and recharge yourself for the next day!

Detail Itinerary for Annapurna Circuit Trek

Day :1

Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Welcome to Himalayan country of Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan intl. airport our representative welcomes you and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. After time to get refreshed, evening you'll meet and transfer for welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu and briefing about your trip and overnight at Hotel.

Day :2

Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)

After breakfast the day will start to our guided trip to cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, the world biggest Bouddhanath Stupa and visit Swoyambhunath Stupa also known as monkey temple. After exploring the surrounding areas visit historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with temple, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess). Evening pre-trip discussion and introduce with our fellow trekking staff for your adventure trip.

Day :3

Drive to Beshishahar (830m/2,723ft), 6-7 hrs drive

This morning we leave Kathmandu for our long trek to Annapurna. Drive by local bus to Beshishahar through the beautiful Nepalese countryside. Beshishahar is big town and district headquarters of the Lamjung District, explore the surrounding area and overnight at the hotel.

Day :4

Trek to Bahundanda (1,310m/4,298ft), 5-6 hrs walk

Today, we begin our trek from Beshishahar with fine view of Hiunchuli and peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) and crossing some local wooden & bamboo bridges reaches at Bhulbhule. It then continues to Ngadi village for lunch passing through waterfall through the river bank before reaching at Bahundanda for overnight. This is nice village on a top of hill and you may have chance to explore the evening time to local village and around the school areas.

Day :5

Trek to Chamje (1,410m/4,626ft), 5-6 hrs walk

After a breakfast the trek descends to Syange village crossing fields and local villages, a short downhill walk brings you Syange village is reached after crossing a long suspension bridge, and our trek continues gradually uphill from the river and the last steep climb to get to Jagat for lunch stop. From here an hour further walk on rocky path & long scenic waterfall across the river and finally brings you at Chamje for overnight stop.

Day :6

Trek to Dharapani (1,960m/6,430ft), 5-6 hrs walk

From Chamje a short walk brings to a suspension bridge over the raging Marshyangdi river, after crossing the bridge it's another steep climb for another 2-3 hours till Tal, the village is situated on the gorge-valley by the side of the river Marshyangdi and decorated with beautiful waterfall & sandy spread river. Further trek follows the upstream up to the Dharapani, which is through the rocky trails and crossing few suspension bridges and small teashops bring you at quite large village at Dharapani for the overnight at hotel.

Day :7

Trek to Chame (2,710m/8,891ft), 6-7 hrs walk

We continue our trek further to Chame. From where changing the vegetation, people and the landscapes changes and the air will gets cooler, the trail then climb through pine forests to Bagarchhap, the first village on the trek with typical Tibetan architecture. After a pleasant walk to Bagarchhap, the altitude slowly gains as we come at Danaque and to the alpine region passing through farm, orchards and beautiful pine forest with views of towering peaks of Lamjung and Annapurna II, the trail follows the river Marshyangdi upstream passing by the villages of Latamanang and Koto before further half an hour brings you at Chame for overnight at the hotel. This is head quarter of Manang district with grand view of Annapurna II.

Day :8

Trek to Pisang (3,200m/10,496ft), 5-6 hrs walk

The trails leads from the other side of the river on the northern bank passes through pine woods and small villages with few ups and downs till you reach the orchard village of Bhartang for apple garden. We continue on the gradual path up to a bridge, from the bridge a short steep climb through the pine forest brings you at the top of the ridge of Dhukur Pokhari for the lunch. After walking out of the tree line a great view of Pisang peak on the north and the Chulu peak can be seen with Pisang village below you, from this top a gentle descent of one hour brings you to windswept village of Pisang for overnight. Evening visit upper Pisang for the Tibetan style of houses and monastery with panoramic view of the Annapurna range and valley.

Day :9

Trek to Manang (3,500m/11,482ft), 4-5 hrs walk

The trek starts with pleasant walk through pine forest and the scenic view. The walk climbs gently up for half an hour and reaching the top, stop at a ridge to get our first view of the Manang valley, This grand spot offers a spectacular views of the valleys, Humde village with it's short air-strip and the great peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna II & III, Tilicho and on the right Chulu east, on the back Pisang peak. The walk forward to Humde and pleasant walk up to the Braga village for traditionally built up Tibetans style of houses and if can be visited the monastery, it has an outstanding display of statues, Thanka paintings and the religious manuscripts. From here it is only an hour walk to Manang for the overnight.

Day :10

Acclimatization day at Manang (3,500m/11,482ft)

Today is full of rest for acclimatize and explore Manang. The village of about 500 flat-roofed houses is the picturesque set amongst some spectacular scenery -Annapurna II, Annapurna III (7,555 meters), Gangapurna (7,454 meters) to the South - Tilicho (7,132 meters) and the Grand Barrier to the West - Chulu West (6,583 meters) and Chulu East (6,059 meters) to the North. After explore and relaxing day at Manang, visit Himalayan Rescue Association and if needed go for movie show.

Day :11

Trek to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft), 3-4 hours walk

After a wonderful time at Manang, the trail leads to a slow climb up for an hour to the Tenki Manang for enclose view of the Annapurna, Gangapurna and Tilicho peak. The track gently winds up offering inspiring views and through terrains with juniper bushes as the only surviving vegetation around this region and will brings you at Yak-Kharka for the overnight.

Day :12

Trek to Throng Phedi (4,400m/14,432), 3-4 hrs walk

We start our trek with slow and own pace to get to Phedi. We still have same amazing view of mountains and landscapes. After an hour walk reaches at Ledar and continues to climb along the east bank of the Jorsang Khola, then descends and crosses the stream on a wooden bridge to get a small tea shop. We stop for wonderful view and tea breaks, we follows a narrow path across a high, unstable slope before heading to Thorong Phedi for the overnight. Phedi, which means 'foot of the hill', is a common Nepali name for any settlement at the bottom of a long climb.

Day :13

Trek to to Muktinath (3,800/12,467ft) via Throng La (5,416m/17,765 ft), 7-8 hrs walk

Today is longest and hardest day of the whole trip. We start our walk early in the morning with packed lunch and the trail becomes steepest initially and reaches at high camp. Walk on your own pace viewing with sunrise and glimpse of the mountains. We continuing walk to the top takes 3-4 hrs to the Throng top and with a great feeling of victory take a short breaks for picturesque scenery and down to the Mustang part of mountains and the Kaligandaki valley far below to the West. Finally, we made to Muktinath after 7-8 hrs long walk and overnight at lodge.

Day :14

Trek to Marpha (2,670m/8,760ft), 6-7 hrs walk

We visit temple in the morning and continuing our journey descending to the Kaligandaki river valley floor, with a brief stop at Ekle bhatti meaning a lonely teahouse, from here onwards the valley gets very windy path, the walk follows the gentle trail for another two hours till the large town of Jomsom a town and a headquarter of the Mustang region with a small airstrip just above the Kaligandaki River. After lunch at Jomsom further two hours of easy walk towards south east brings us at Marpha for the overnight stop, which is little gem, with whitewashed houses, paved streets and numerous well kept lodges. Here you will have time to celebrate with the local apple products like cider, brandy and juice and dinner with apple pie.

Day :15

Trek to Ghasa (2,120m/6,955ft), 6-7 hrs walk

Today, the walk is very enjoyable following the Kaligandaki river down stream reaches another charming village at Tukuche, close beneath the Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri with spectacular views of Mt. Nilgiri's and the massif icefalls which tumbles from the Dhaualgiri's east face, after an hour walk from Tukuche continuing trek down to Kalolpani village for lunch, and this is another lovely village of more than 30 houses with excellent tea houses and lodge with grandeur view of Mt. Annapurna I, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri above the beautiful pine forest. After 2 hrs easy downhill brings you long settled Thakali village for overnight at lodge.

Day :16

Trek to Tatopani (1,200m/3937ft), 4-5 hrs walk

The route dramatically changes the vegetation, from dry, arid desert to pine and conifer forests, as we pass between two giant peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna's. From Ghasa the southern end of the area dominated by Thakali people till Tatopani, the architectural style change, with much ornately carved wood work in evidence. This pleasant walk amidst the beautiful surrounding continues back to the terraced paddy fields and into warm sub-tropical climate all the way to the village of Tatopani passing through the beautiful waterfalls of Rupse waterfall. We come down through Dana village (the deepest gorge of the world) and after lunch onwards couple of hour to get to Tatopani for natural hot spring bath. Explore the local place and overnight at hotel.

Day :17

Trek to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft), 5-6 hrs walk

After spending wonderful day at hot spring we trek down before crossing a suspension bridge over the Kaligandaki river, the path leads by the river for a while just arriving at the junction of the two trails, the other wide path follows the river all the way to Beni. We diverts from here taking the left uphill climb, the first of the climb is quite steep to the top, and continue with farms and villages, from this spot a gradual climb leads us most of the day, leaving behind the terraced fields walking in the dense rhododendron forests and reaching at Ghorepani for the overnight at teahouse. This is a great place for mountain scenery.

Day :18

Poon hill hike and trek to Tadapani (2,710m/8,891ft), 5-6 hrs walk

An early morning start for 40 minutes hike up to Poon hill (3210m/10530ft), the route offers the glimpse of the pleasant rhododendron forest. This brilliant viewpoint provides us an unobstructed sunrise over the high Himalayas and the wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya of Dolpo, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) and all the way to Manasalu. After a great time return back to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek to Tadapani for overnight

Day :19

Trek to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft), 5 hrs walk & 1 hrs drive

This is our last day trek after long days and immersing yourself to finish quickly this day. Trek leads through the scenic landscapes and local villages to get steep descend leads us to Ghandrung village for lunch. This is heavily settled Gurung village, a modern village of Nepal. Further an easy path reaches at Birethanthi for lunch, where is the confluence of Modi and Bhurungdi River. After half an hour flat walk will reach at Nayapul. Our trek ends here and drives back to Pokhara lakeside for the overnight stop. Remaining time explore the surrounding lake side area and simply relax at the heart of Lake Town.

Day :20

Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft), 5-6 hrs drive

Early morning drive by tourist bus to Pokhara through the beautiful Nepalese countryside to reach the Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu guide will transfer to the hotel and rest of the time relax or explore the surrounding areas and overnight at hotel.

Day :21

Departure from Kathmandu

Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you'll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.

FOOTWEAR

» RUNNING SHOES » : 1 pair for casual Comfortable support shoes wear on lighter walking days.

» LIGHT HIKING BOOTS » : 1 pair of sturdy hiking boots in which you should wear a light synthetic sock under a warm heavy sock comfortably, either wool or synthetic. Sole should be flexible but still provide enough support for your feet. Boots should be very water repellent.

» HIKING GAITERS (Optional) » : 1 pair keeps rocks out of shoes and boots dry in case of precipitation. Optional if trekking pants are worn.

» WOOL SOCKS » : 3 pair heavyweight wool socks to be worn over the liner socks. When layering socks, check fit over feet and inside boots. Remember to keep one fresh, dry pair of socks available at all times. Socks with padded shins are especially nice with boots.

» LINER SOCKS » : 3 pair of smooth thin wool, nylon or Capilene to be worn next to the skin. This reduces the incidence of blisters and hot-spots and makes the outer sock last longer before needing to be changed. They should fit well with your heavyweight socks.

» LIGHTWEIGHT LONG UNDERWEAR » : 2 pair, tops & bottoms, Capilene, other synthetic or wool. No Cotton. Lightweight is preferable as it is more versatile (worn single in warmer conditions and double layer for colder). Zip-T-neck tops allow more ventilation options. One set of white for intense sunny days and one pair of dark for faster drying gives the most versatility.

» LIGHT TREKKING PANTS » : Lightweight nylon pants designed to be used while trekking. They are extremely air permeable, dry quickly and provide sun protection. Zip-off lower leg sections are convenient for switching to shorts.

» T-SHIRTS » : Lightweight crew style t-shirt that wicks away moisture. Shirt can be made of any synthetic material.

» BANDANA » : Bring bandanas for face masks and other tasks.

» SYNTHETIC/SOFT SHELL JACKET » : A full-zip version is easier to put on and has better ventilation than a pullover.

» INSULTED DOWN-JACKET » : Medium to heavy weight with hood.

» HARD SHELL JACKET WITH HOOD » : We recommend a waterproof breathable shell material with full front zipper, underarm zips, and no insulation. This outer layer protects against wind and rain.

» HARD SHALL PANTS » : Waterproof, breathable. Any side zipper length is fine as long as you can get them over your boots.

HANDWEAR

» FLEECE/SOFT SHELL GLOVES » : 1 pair. A heavier fleece will do a better job of keeping hands warmer when wet than lighter polypropylene or Capilene.

» SHELL GLOVES WITH INSULATION » : 1 pair. Insulation does not need to be removable. A good quality ski glove is sufficient.

HEADWEAR

» HEADLAMP & SPARE BATTRIES » : A good quality climber’s headlamp. For use at night, bring extra batteries!

» SUN HAT » : The sun can be intense at high altitude. A hat with a good visor provides protection for the nose and eyes. Baseball hats work well. A Buff is recommended to reduce the amount of dust inhaled while trekking and reduces the chance of infection.

» NECK GAITER OR BUFF » : Buff is preferred for covering the face and preventing sickness.

» GLACIER GLASSES » : 100% UV, IR, high quality optical lenses designed for mountain use, must have side covers, leashes, and a nose guard is particularly helpful. No more than 8% light transmission. If you wear contact lenses we recommend packing a spare pair of glasses—it is a good idea to have these with “photo-gray” or equivalent light-sensitive material so they can double as emergency sunglasses. If you wear glasses we recommend prescription glacier glasses (gray or amber). Talk to your eye care professional to find out where prescription glacier glasses are available. Regular sunglasses are not dark enough and do not provide any side protection from the sun.

Cirprofloxin (Cipro) 500mg tablets for traveler’s diarrhea and for urinary tract infections. Loperamide (Lomotil) or Immodium for diarrhea. Acetazolamide (Diamox) 125 or 250mg tablets for alltitude sickness. Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) 200mg tablets for altitude headaches, sprains, aches, etc. Excedrin for headaches. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 325mg tablets for stomach sensitivity.

Our Effort

Our trek is managed by a team of professionally trained leader/guide who are responsible for all aspects of operation of the trek. We will make every effort to keep the treks as the proposed itinerary, however as this is adventure travel in a remote Himalayan region, we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions and health conditions of the member of the trekking team can be a factor compelling us to change the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs accordingly, but please be prepared to be flexible when if it is necessary.

Please note that the flights to and from Lukla are heavily dependent on weather conditions and, delays can occur. So we always recommend you to have one/two additional nights in Kathmandu after your Everest base camp trek which would ensure you that there is no impact on your international flight even if your trip delays due to the flight problem. If everything runs smoothly as per the plan, you can use these days for city tours, Bunjee jumping or River rafting as per your interest.

Trekking Group

Nepal has abundance of offers to establish it as a round the year travel destination. Based on this fact, many international tourists are indeed incorporating Nepal in their wishful travel itinerary. For this Everest Base Camp trek, in our trekking group there will be one trek leader and one Sherpa porter for each group of two trekkers but we provide one assistant guide as per group size. Generally in our group the minimum number of tourist will be two and the maximum group size is ten. For single traveler, we organize the trip with single supplement. We saying 10 people are our maximum pax for the trek doesn't mean we are not operating more than 11 persons, we do it on request. However it is good to keep the limit group size which means we can provide a best services and personal take care to our valuable clients during their trip with us.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Trekkers who are making their plan to travel in the Himalaya, most require three basic components of preparation - aerobic, strength, and mental. Aerobic conditioning is important primarily because you will trekking in thin air, up to 50% less than at sea level. With good aerobic conditioning you will be able to minimizing the potential effects of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS). Hiking for at least two hours per day with some weight on your back is the best way to prepare yourself for trekking. Running, cycling (outdoor or stationary), Nordic track, hill climbing, or any exercise that gets your heart rate into the aerobic range for sustained periods of time.

Every day you will walk in the Himalaya around 4 to 7 hrs and reaches at highest place to 5550m/18204 feet. So, health is a most essential part for your adventure travel. Tramping Himalaya Adventures most require your medical fitness certificate prior to your booking. Before the trip booking with us we suggest to consult with your Medical Doctor and in his/her references go for your trip booking process.

Trekking in the Himalayas is a relatively safe activity and mishaps or problems are usually minor. However, unpleasant things can occur on a long trek. You might have a bout of mild illness, not sleep as well as usual, find the trek pace too fast or slow - any number of things might be annoying or stressful during some part of your trek. Before you leave for Nepal, or for any foreign destination for that matter, think about the journey as more than just a quest to reach a destination. Try to imagine your trip as an opportunity to experience whatever happens as an essential part of the journey. It doesn't matter so much whether you actually reach Everest Base Camp. You should be prepared to find joy and fulfillment in all the moments of your trip, including the less pleasant ones that you hadn't expected. Preparing to keep a very positive frame of mind throughout your trip, along with good physical conditioning, will insure that you are ready to experience all the wonders of Nepal.

Our Trek Leaders and Staffs

Your Trek Leader's role is to ensure all aspects of the trip run smoothly. He will share their local knowledge, advice on how to fill your free time and co-ordinate the day to day running of the tour - although occasionally he may need your understanding if things do not go according to plan. If you have any problems on the tour, please let your Trek Leader know so that steps can be taken to put it right.

We are a well stabilized adventure company and we employed professional trek leader (who are based on English speaking and few are multi-lingual's) and required crew member (they have basic knowledge of communication). We also provide the training to our staff increasing their work efficiency. And our guides are intimately familiar with all local castes and customs along the trails and will share with you many cultural insights that are not covered in any guide book. Acclimatization

We are experts at operating at high-altitude. Every trip we run has a realistic acclimatization programme. Our treks are designed to allow gradual height gain, spread over a number of days. There is no way of predicting who will suffer from altitude but, for the vast majority of people, a slow ascent to height will produce minimal effects. We can provide 'Gamow Bag' as a precautionary measure as per your request on hiring basis. Acclimatizing takes time and there are no safe shortcuts. All trips to altitudes in excess of 3,000 meters carry medicines essential to the treatment of altitude illness, and our leaders are trained to administer them and to know the symptoms.

Diamox (Acetazolamide)

Diamox (Acetazolamide) allows you to breathe faster so that you metabolize more oxygen, thereby minimizing the symptoms caused by poor oxygenation. This is especially helpful at night when respiratory drive is decreased. Since it takes a while for Diamox to have an effect, it is advisable to start taking it 24 hours before you go to altitude and continue for at least five days at higher altitude. The recommendation of the Himalayan Rescue Association Medical Clinic is 125 mg. twice a day (morning and night). (The standard dose was 250 mg., but their research showed no difference for most people with the lower dose, although some individuals may need 250 mg.) Possible side effects include tingling of the lips and finger tips, blurring of vision, and alteration of taste. These side effects may be reduced with the 125 mg. dose. Side effects subside when the drug is stopped. Contact your physician for a prescription. Since Diamox is a sulfonamide drug, people who are allergic to sulfa drugs should not take Diamox. Diamox has also been known to cause severe allergic reactions to people with no previous history of Diamox or sulfa allergies. Frank Hubbell of SOLO recommends a trial course of the drug before going to a remote location where a severe allergic reaction could prove difficult to treat.

Travel Insurance

To be adequately protected in terms of insurance, you will need specialist travel insurance for participation in the hazardous activities. A travel insurance policy that covers helicopter evacuation, trip cancellation, injury, death, lost baggage, theft, liability, medical treatment and expenses is strongly recommended. Make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal such as trekking and climbing.

If you are injured and unable to travel, you can ask for a rescue helicopter from a remote area only if you have definite proof you can pay for it. Tramping Himalaya Adventures have an agreement in Kathmandu that guarantees payment for helicopter evacuations. They pay a cash deposit to the helicopter operator and collect the money from you once you have been rescued. Be sure your policy specifically covers mountaineering or alpinism or you may have a difficult time settling a claim.

Climate and Weather

The climate of Nepal is as varied as its geography. The low-lying Terai has a sub-tropical monsoonal climate. The Himalayan foothills, where most of our treks take place, are best in the cool dry season from September to May. The traditional trekking season in Nepal is late September to May, with October and November generally recognized as having the best weather. Spring is also a popular time of year with warmer weather and the advantage of seeing spring flowers and rhododendrons in bloom. The visibility is good, days are pleasantly warm, although nights can be cold, and snow is possible above 3,000 meters.

Everest Base Camp trek is likely to have a wide range of temperatures depending on the altitude and the time of day. In the mountains up to 3,500m the nights will be cool, normally around 5 degree C, and during the day temperatures sometimes rise to 25 degree C. At higher altitudes temperatures range from about 20 degree C to -15 degree C.

Passport and Visa Requirements

All foreigners require a visa for entry into Nepal (except Indian nationals). It is your responsibility to obtain the entry visa.Visas can be obtained from the Nepalese embassy prior to travel or on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and various international border crossings between Nepal and its neighbors.Make the visa process easier a passport-sized photograph for immigration and having the correct USD cash is required-please bring this in your hand luggage. In addition, trip in Nepal requires photos for the various permits. Please bring a total of 3 photographs.

Permits and fees

In Nepal, you most require permits and fees to enter a certain areas such as World heritage sites, National Park, restricted areas along climbing as well. All the trip prices are including the cost of relevant permits and entrance fees. Incase of any such conditions we will inform you if required any additional permit fees before you make a booking with us.

Health and Fitness for trekker

We strongly recommend our clients for consulting the doctor before planning your holidays. You should obtain professional advice from a travel clinic or your local GP about which vaccinations to have before you arrive in Nepal. Your doctor will advise current inoculation requirements. If a doctor has recommended against travel or indicated travel may be inconvenient then inform us of the details. On all trekking and exploratory trips technical experience is not required, hiking/camping experience is an advantage, but by far the most important thing is a positive attitude and a generous amount of determination. We strictly maintain hygiene foods on the trek. We carry extensive medical kits and, if the need should ever arise, we are able to evacuate seriously ill group members by helicopter. We run regular first aid courses for our all trekking guides and Sherpa helpers.

Meals and Accommodation

In Kathmandu we use deluxe hotel to ensure a comfortable stay and relaxed environment before and after your adventure. All breakfasts are included at the hotel in Kathmandu. Rooms are generally twin share - depending on group size and room availability, triple share may be offered to your request. A single supplement room is available at an additional cost. And on request single supplement will be charge US$200.

While on the trek, we provide good quality food in sufficient quantities from Tea Houses/Mt. lodges. We provide all meals on full board (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea & coffee) from the teahouse menu during the trekking period. Whilst trekking on the Everest, the accommodation is in guesthouses which are basic structures, generally with shared facilities but very comfortable. In some guesthouses, showers are available; where there are no showers; there are private facilities in which you can sponge bath.

Trekking in Himalaya means uphill and downhill walking in remote part. So your health and physical fitness plays the vital role for completing this trek. If your level of fitness is good and your health is excellent, you can join this trek even you never done trekking in the high Himalayan region.
Credit cards are not accepted in during your trekking period so you have to use only Nepalese Rupees cash. In Kathmandu and other major cities modern banking facilities are available.

In the tea house trekking arrangement, they will provide private rooms. And most of the places, the bathrooms are shared and running water facility.

If you need to purchase some gear or supplies you can get it in Thamel area in Kathmandu. In Thamel you can get different international brand as well as local brand.

In Tea House trek you will served a variety of local foods including such items as Tibetan fried bread, soups, momo’s (steamed dumplings), daal- bhat (lentils and rice), tarkari (steamed, fried, or curried vegetables), potatoes (prepared in dozens of ways), pastas and even a version of pizza. Meats are rarely eaten although you may have canned tuna or sardines and the occasional yak stew. Breakfasts typically consist of eggs (prepared in many ways), hot porridge, muesli, toast, peanut butter and honey.
A backpack (also called rucksack, knapsack, packsack, and pack) is, in its simplest form, a cloth sack carried on one's back and secured with two straps that go over the shoulders.
It is difficult to wash your clothes in during your trekking period.
Bring Diamox (altitude sickness medicine) and your personal medication with you.
A trekking holiday should never be about making it to the final point quickly. Along your trekking we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides, porters, accommodation and food if you inform us prior enough time to manage extra day/s trekking.
The weight limit for the trek is 15kgs/33 pounds (LBS) per guest, as it is the maximum weight that the porters can carry. It is also important to note that "hard" luggage poses a problem: soft "duffel-bags" are recommended.
